Smash-and-grab burglary attempt in northwest Atlanta

ATLANTA - Thieves made quite a mess at a northwest Atlanta store overnight in a smash-and-grab burglary attempt Monday morning.

It happened just before 5 a.m. at the CVS in the 2500 block of Bolton Road. Atlanta Police said they responded to a report of a business burglary. Officers arrived to find the front glass door smashed in and extensive damage to the business.

Police searched the area, but couldn’t find any suspects. The manager told police there was damage to the ATM, but that he couldn’t immediately see anything taken from inside the store.
