Injured man found in car on I-285 has died, police say

A man has died after a shooting that investigators say began during an argument in DeKalb County early Tuesday morning.

What we know:

According to police, officers responded around 3:06 a.m. to Interstate 285 south just past Glenwood Road, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries but later died.

Preliminary findings indicate the shooting happened in the 5500 block of Marbut Road during a dispute between people who knew each other. Authorities say a witness transported the victim from the scene to I-285 and called for help.
