Sheriff: Woman killed in Bartow County shooting
BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. - Bartow County deputies are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Saturday afternoon.
Sheriff Clark Millsap said that police were called to a home in Young Street near Cartersville after a report of a woman being shot and more shorts fired.
When they arrived to the home, police say they found a man and woman with gunshot wounds.
The woman was pronounced dead on the scene. The man has now been airlifted to a nearby hospital.
Police believe that the two people were in a relationship, lived together, and that man shot himself after shooting the woman.
The identities of those involved have not been released.
The investigation continues.
