Secretary of State touts increase in new Georgia businesses
ATLANTA - Some good news for the state economy.
The Peach State surged past its new business milestone last year.
Secretary of State Brad Raggensperger says more than 165,000 new businesses were created in 2019.
This is the first time the state has made more than 150,000 new businesses in a year.
He also said the new record highlights how the state has become an economic powerhouse under "pro-business" administration.
