Search for suspected gang member who pointed gun at deputy

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A Clayton County community remains on edge as authorities enter the second day of a search for a suspected gang member.

It stems from a confrontation that happened Monday afternoon in the area of Godby Road.

According to investigators, the wanted man pointed a gun at a deputy and then took off.

Deputies have yet to say what triggered the confrontation or release the suspect's name.

Meantime, deputies warned residents to stay vigilant.
