Search crews find body of missing man at Lake Lanier after days-long search

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Forsyth County Deputies recovered the body of the missing boater at Lake Lanier.

The search resumed Monday morning for 28-year-old Corey Lamar Brown who was last seen Friday night.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said Brown, was on a boat Friday night with several others when three people in total fell in the water.

Family members told FOX 5, Brown jumped into the lake to help a swimmer who appeared to be struggling. 

Two people were rescued days ago.

Dive teams and dozens of deputies in boats scoured the water near Vann's Tavern ever since Brown fell.

Vann's Tavern area was closed to boaters during the search.
