Report: Men followed woman's car, tried to get inside

A white of the white truck was released by the Spalding County Sheriff's Office.

The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman told them two men in a truck were following her and tried to get inside her vehicle.

On Sept. 8 around 7:45 a.m., officials say the young woman was driving on Hamil Road when she noticed she was being followed by a white truck. The truck continued following her along East McIntosh Road to Old Atlanta Road, near the intersection of West McIntosh Road. While stopped at a traffic light, the woman told authorities that the driver of the white truck got out of his vehicle and attempted to open the door of her car. The woman reportedly drove off, headed west on McIntosh Road.  While stopped at a second light, the woman said the same man tried to approach her car a second time. This time, the woman said she noticed an object in his hand, and drove off again. She later stopped at a nearby church, but the driver of the truck continued traveling west on Highway 92.

The driver of the white truck is described as a tall and slender white male in his 20’s. He had dark brown hair and a beard, and was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans.

A passenger in the truck is described as a heavy-set white male in his 20’s with strawberry colored hair.

The men were reportedly driving in a small white truck, possibly a Ford Ranger, with black bumpers and chrome wheels. There was possibly a black tool box in the bed.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact police the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office at 770-467-4282.
