Rabies alert issued for areas near Stockbridge
HENRY COUNTY, Ga. - Animal control workers in Henry County say two dogs killed a raccoon Tuesday and the remains tested positive for rabies.
Animal control and county health officials are issuing an alert in the Stockbridge area near Chip Place and Vincent Avenue.
Authorities urge residents to make sure your animals have a current rabies vaccination.
Officials also ask residents to be aware of wildlife acting in an unusual manner.
