Prayers needed for little boy from viral eclipse photo
JASPER, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Members of the community will come together tonight to pray for a brave toddler who continues to beat the odds.
Nichole Carver said her one and a half-year-old son, Hudson, is on life support at a children's hospital in Virginia after contracting the flu and bacterial pneumonia.
"Hudson is quite the miracle in the making. When none of the doctors, with the exception of his specialist, were willing to give him a chance at life last July Hudson proved them all wrong. We flew up last Tuesday with excitement to show his specialist our walking, talking, eating all the foods and beating all the odds toddler. Unfortunately, before seeing the doctor Hudson came down with the flu which then turned into bacterial pneumonia and was put on life support at INOVA Children's Hospital in Fairfax, VA. He's come so far, beating all the odds, and we refuse to let this temporary set back change the fact that God has blessed us with a strong willed, feisty, miracle of a child! By the grace of God Hudson will overcome this. WE DON'T LOSE! The community support has continued to be AMAZING and even though we are two states apart in Northern Virginia, people from all over have rallied for our son. Our hearts have been consumed with love by all the love from others for Hudson."
Hudson has Gaucher's disease, a genetic disorder that usually proves fatal before a patient's second birthday. The toddler was in Fairfax to visit a specialist when he had to be hospitalized.
