Porch pirate steals package while family visits son in hospital

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A family said a heartless thief targeted them at the worst possible time.

The family had their child in the hospital for a few days when someone decided to steal someone from their front porch.

It happened in the neighborhood off of Forest Hills Drive NE and High Point Road.

Home surveillance video showed the thief in action, stealing the package right off the front porch.

The family reported the crime to police.
