Police: WSB reporter arrested for DUI, speeding
ATLANTA - A WSB Channel 2 Action News reporter is facing DUI charges after an overnight arrest in Atlanta.
According Atlanta police report of the incident, officers stated they stopped WSB Reporter Tyisha Fernandes on Piedmont Avenue for doing 66 in a 35 mile per hour zone.
The report continues describes how Fernandes first told the officer she was coming from a “homecoming party.”
She then stated she was coming from the WSB studios, before finally admitting that she really was coming from the Buckhead night club the Gold Room.
The officer writes in the police report that Fernandes smelled like alcohol and he gave a sobriety test.
The report states following those tests, the WSB reporter was arrested and charged with speeding and DUI.
