Police: Woman arrested for pinning officer between cars

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - Deputies have arrested a woman in Clayton County who they say pinned an officer between two cars while trying to escape arrest.

Officers responded to a home on the 1800 block of Marceau Drive in Conley on Mon. Aug, 13, after they were called about a fight.

When they showed up, authorities say Demeka Malcom tried to drive off and ended up backing into one of the officers, pinning him between her car and a patrol car.

The officer suffered a fractured right leg and had to be hospitalized for his injuries, police said.

Another officer opened fire on Malcom's car, but she was able to get away.

On Friday morning, officers arrested Malcom. She's now charged with an assault on a police officer.
