Police: Woman, 54, injured in SE Atlanta shooting

ATLANTA - Police are investigating a shooting in southeast Atlanta early Thursday morning. 

According to officers, a 54-year-old woman was found on Grant Street suffering from several gunshot wounds. 

The woman told police she had gotten into a car with a man on Fulton Industrial Boulevard prior to the shooting. She described the gunman as a bald African American man, driving a green sedan.

Police said the woman was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
