Three armed men are on the run after targeting owners of a Chinese restaurant in Dacula twice, according to Gwinnett County Police.

Officers told FOX 5 the crooks followed the owners of the Hong Kong Restaurant on Old Peachtree Road from the restaurant to their house on March 11. On that day, detectives said the crew ambushed the husband and wife in their garage and robbed them at gunpoint.

But that wasn't the first time the couple was targeted, according to Sgt. Jake Smith with Gwinnett County Police. The following week the same crew broke into the house while the couple was away and stole cash. Smith said another relative hid inside a room at the time and wasn't confronted by the criminals.

Investigators believe the masked men could be involved in other crimes, possibly in other jurisdictions in the metro area. They're working to learn more about them as they seek the public's help in tracking down the dangerous crew.

In the meantime, they urge business owners to avoid taking cash home after closing up their shops and to remain vigilant.
