Police: Thieves steal 2 cars in 2 days from same East Point gas station
Police are on the lookout for two Dodge vehicles after thieves made off with the vehicles at an East Point gas station, according to authorities.
Police said the crimes happened twice at the same Texaco gas station on Camp Creek Parkway this week.
Angela Miller said four young men drove up to her silver Dodge Challenger in a dark-colored vehicle around midnight Tuesday as she put air in her car tire. She said one man drove off in her vehicle, which also included her purse, identification cards and luggage.
"I just thank God that I'm alive and because they could have shot me or did anything to me," Miller. "...You work hard for something and someone just takes it from you."
Trenell Stripling said someone stole her black and white Dodge Charger as she bought items in the convenience store early Thursday.
"He was moving through the keyhole and then just got in like it was his car," Stripling said. "My boyfriend [chased] after the car."
East Point Police said they believe the incidents are connected.
