Police: Teenager robbed at gunpoint while cutting grass in yard

A teenage boy was robbed at gunpoint while cutting grass in his front yard during spring break, according to Gwinnett County Police.

The crime happened around 11 a.m. Saturday inside the Trotters Pointe Subdivision in Snellville.

The boy told officers two men in a black car pulled up to him and demanded cash while one man pointed a gun, per the incident report.

Neighbor James Miller told FOX 5 News he and his wife helped the victim soon after the incident.

"It was in the middle of the day. It is crazy," Miller said. "The boy was shaken up. It was his birthday. He got robbed on his birthday."

Police said they didn't get a good description of the crooks. Miller and other neighbors said they plan to be more vigilant for any suspicious activity.

"We are out here all the time with our family and everything. We are scared," Miller added.
