Police: skeletal remains found in northwest Atlanta
ATLANTA - The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office will be trying to determine the identity of a set of skeletal remains found in northwest Atlanta.
Those remains were found Tuesday just after 4 p.m. in the 700 block of Wheeler Street by a construction crew surveying the area, according to Atlanta Police. The remains were found in a heavy-wooded area at the end of a dead-end street surrounded by an industrial area and near a set of railroad tracks.
Police spent the afternoon processing the scene.
The medical examiner’s office will use DNA to try to identify the remains as well as determine a manner of death.
