Police seek driver after wreck kills Georgia baseball coach
COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) — Police in Columbus, Georgia, are looking for a driver who ran away from a crash scene after a wreck that killed a high school baseball coach.
Police say a stolen Audi collided with a car driven by 36-year-old David Pollard on Monday. Pollard was the baseball coach at Carver High School in Columbus and died in the crash.
Dash camera video provided by police shows an unidentified man running from the scene of the accident afterward. Police spokesman Sgt. Fred Carnes says officers are still looking for the driver of the Audi.
A police report indicates the stolen car ran a red light and collided with Pollard's vehicle.
The coach was married and has an 8-year-old daughter.
