Police searching for hit-and-run driver in Lawrenceville

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking the public for help tracking down a hit and run driver.

A 32-year-old man was hit by a white SUV while crossing North Brown Road in Lawrenceville Wednesday morning.

Police say he was in the crosswalk when a white SUV made a left turn, slamming right into the man.

The SUV left the scene, leaving the victim in the middle of the road.

Witnesses say it may be a larger model vehicle like a Yukon, Tahoe or 4-Runner.

And it may have front-end damage.
