Riverdale police are trying to track down the armed robber who ambushed an employee inside a GameStop store the evening of November 20th.

The gunman was caught on camera clearing out two cash registers. Two employees were ordered to the floor at gunpoint. A customer was also in the store, but police said the robber never saw him.

Assistant Police Chief Michael Reynolds said witnesses got a good description of the gunman, even though he was wearing a dark hooded jacket when he stormed into the store, located at 7024 on Highway 85. Police are certain someone will recognize the man. He appears to be in his 20's, 5-8 to 5-10, with a slender build and a mustache.

According to witnesses, the man flashed a handgun with a silver and black handle when he ordered a second employee to the ground. The gunman reportedly asked if the employee, who walked in on the crime, if he had already called 911, then said, "I don't want to hurt anyone." Still, police are not convinced his actions won't escalate.

"This is a big deal. We really need to get this guy off the streets, because the next time, he might actually use the gun," Reynolds said.

Riverdale shoppers who spoke to FOX 5 agree.

"The next time, it could be somebody's grandmother walking in on this. This could get worse. So, if you know who the guy is, you should just call Crime Stoppers or the police," Reynolds said.
