Police search for business serial burglars in south metro
SENOIA, Ga. - The small town of Senoia, famous for its filmmaking and “The Walking Dead”, has had visitors more unwelcome then its fictional zombies. A series of store and restaurant burglaries in what one detective told FOX 5 News was the biggest crime wave he's seen in a long time.

Surveillance video from neighboring Fayette County showed the same burglary crew believed to be operating in the outskirts of Senoia, breaking in late at night and going straight to the cash drawer. Two convenience stores in Fayette County were hit the same night as stores in Senoia.

The Big Chick was open for business with wings in the deep fryer after the men broke in, jumped the counter and tried to steal the cash register. They actually dropped it on the way out.
The same thing happened at the Hit and Run market where the burglars hit and ran, again dropping the cash drawer on the way out. But they were more successful at Chapultepec Mexican Restaurant.
“They were able to steal the cash register and it was later that same morning in the city of Grantville,” said Lt. James Ercol of the Senoia Police.

Surveillance video of the car both departments are looking for shows a light-colored sedan. The men wore masks in all the burglaries. And police are investigating a possible connection in nearby Peachtree City where, on the same night, a group of people broke into unlocked automobiles. The same man in video there is seen breaking into cars in a Senoia neighborhood.
