The grandfather of a 20-year-old man gunned down in a Fulton County apartment complex wants answers.

Longtime community servant Lonnie Malcolm said he never could imagine his oldest grandson being killed, but that is exactly what Fulton County Police said happened to 20-year-old Robert Cocker Jr Thursday just after 4 o'clock.

Fulton County police say someone discovered the 20-year-old's body in his old neighborhood in a breezeway at Country Squire APARTMENTS on Cascade Road Tuesday around 4:18p. He had been shot multiple times.

“It is just an example of the young people leaning on guns, instead of leaning on God,” grandfather Lonnie Malcolm told FOX 5's Aungelique Proctor.

Mr. Malcolm said his grandson was a football player and 2015 graduate of Westlake High School, who was very smart and loved computers.

Cocker and his parents had moved out of their Cascade Road apartment and now live in Clayton County.

Detectives have some solid evidence to go on with a surveillance picture. The two men seen in the picture are believed to be involved in the incident, police believe the one on the right with a hood was the shooter.

Mr. Malcolm is confident Fulton County Police will solve the case. That is why he is urging the shooters to turn themselves in.

“I am not wondering if there is going to be justice, there will be justice. I just don't know when.”
