Police pursuit ends in Covington, suspect tries to flee on feet

JASPER COUNTY, Ga. - A police pursuit in Jasper County ended with a foot chase in Covington as police arrested a man for stealing a car, according to the Covington Police Department.

The fleeing suspect crashed the car near highway 278 and I-20 and tried to run away on foot. Authorities tracked him down and detained him.

Police say no one was injured in the pursuit and crash.
