It's a holiday season reality but a Gwinnett County woman was shocked when her doorbell video revealed a pregnant porch pirate had snatched a package.

Gwinnett County Police said the expectant thief wasn't alone, another woman cradling a young girl was with her.

"I felt violated and afraid," said homeowner Toni Bridges.

Police told FOX 5 News an expectant mother and another woman, perhaps a mother herself, cradling a little girl in her arms, stole a package from the porch at Bridges' home.

A video shows them casually walk onto Bridges’ porch on Great Shoals Drive early last week and then walk off with a package which had been left by the postal service.

"It's is heartening, I mean you try to think people are fairly good, but we live in a time now where you just have to suspect everybody," said Bridges.

Bridges said she was home when the pregnant porch pirate and her child carrying accomplice arrived.

She told FOX 5 News her husband saw the doorbell video at work then called to let her know of the intruders.

By the time she got to the front door the women had left prompting a car search of the neighborhood.

"I went around the corner my sister lives not far from here so I went around that way and nothing," said Bridges.

Gwinnett County Police said the women are believed to be in their 20s and are either Hispanic or light-skinned black.

"We don't know if they were walking or driving. There was no car seen in the surveillance footage so it's very possible that they parked their car someplace else and then approached on foot," said Corp. Pihera.

She said this the first time they've come across a pregnant woman and a woman carrying a child stealing from a porch.

Bridges said they stole a new outfit she had delivered. She hopes the women stop before it's too late, for the child.

"What lesson is this woman teaching her child? That it's OK, it's ok to take things that don't belong to you, and it's not OK," said Bridges.
