Police: Person of interest detained in deadly DeKalb County stabbing

DeKalb County Police spent Friday evening investigating a deadly stabbing at a home off Panola Road.

Police responded around 8:45 p.m. to the 5100 block of Panola Valley Drive after getting a call of a person stabbed.

A man in 20s was found dead, having suffered multiple stab wounds, police said

Investigators took a person of interest into custody at the scene. They have not released that person’s name.

"We're not currently looking for anyone," said Lt. Shane Smith with the DeKalb County Police Department told FOX 5's Denise Dillon late Friday night. "We got one person of interest who is at our headquarters being interviewed by our detectives. And then, we have detectives here on the scene who are interviewing several witnesses."
