A man is accused of using the phone app Venmo to steal money from at least two victims, and tonight he's on the run.

Police say Romel Slay was at a Whole Foods in Johns Creek in November when he asked a woman if he could use her phone to make a call.

She gave it to him, and officers say he snuck onto Venmo to steal $2,500.

When he returned the phone, the woman realized what happened.

Slay was arrested and charged with theft by taking.

Only after he reportedly bonded out of jail, Dunwoody Police say they realized Slay was behind a similar theft at Perimeter Mall back in October.

Officers are now looking for the suspect.
