Police: Man shot at officers from stolen car

ATLANTA - A wild scene unfolding Monday afternoon after police say a suspect shot at officers from inside a car he stole.

Officials told FOX 5 an officer spotted the stolen car Monday afternoon in the area of Langston Avenue and Murphy Avenue.

The officer followed the vehicle for a few blocks.

That's when investigators say the suspect began firing shots at the officer and then bailed from the car.

It crashed into a pole and a mailbox.

Authorities took the suspect into custody and recovered the weapon.
