Police: Man injured in downtown Atlanta shooting

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A man is recovering in the hospital after a shooting in downtown Atlanta.

The shooting happened around 1:30 Sunday morning near Auburn Avenue and Jesse Hill Jr. Drive.

Police told FOX 5 an off-duty officer heard gunshots and went to investigate.

That's when they say he spotted a gunman firing at another man.

Police say the gunman was taken in custody.

The victim, who was shot in the leg and had a bullet graze his neck, was taken to a nearby hospital.

Officials have not yet released any information about the identity of the suspect or the victim.
