Police: man in emoji hoodie robs Atlanta food mart

ATLANTA - Atlanta Police are searching for a masked armed robbery who held up a convenience store Friday night.

Police released a video Wednesday of the heist. It shows the man walking into the Sylvan Food Mart on Sylvan Road around 9 p.m. The man, who is wearing a full-faced mask, possibly a hockey mask, and a distinctive white short-sleeved hoodie with emojis on it.

The man can be seen walking up to the clerk and demanding cash. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash from behind the cage. The man can be seen putting the money in his pocket before fleeing the store.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477). Tipsters could be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward and can remain anonymous.
