Police: Man in custody after SWAT standoff in Smyrna

Police in Smyrna said they found the man they were searching for after a domestic dispute leads to SWAT situation Thursday evening.

It happened along Concord Road near Oak Forest Drive around 5:45 p.m. Smyrna Police said it started as a domestic dispute between a man and wife. Police said the man went back into the home and barricaded himself inside prompting officers to call out the SWAT team.

Police said they were eventually able to take him in custody about three hours later after officers spotted the man after he slipped out of the home.

The names of those have not yet been released.

No injuries were reported.
