Police investigating shooting death in southwest Atlanta

ATLANTA - Police are at a home in southwest Atlanta investigating a shooting and murder Saturday afternoon.

Officials tell FOX 5 Atlanta that they were called to a home on the 600 block of Jewel Drive around 4:48 p.m. Saturday in response to shots being fired.

When they got to the scene, officials say they found a dead adult man who had "apparent gunshot wounds."

Police have not yet released the circumstances of the shooting or the identity of the victim.

No information on a suspect has been released.
