Police ID person of interest in Henry County block party shooting
STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. - Henry County investigators have identified a person of interest in the block party shooting that left a teenage girl in critical condition.
The shooting happened in a parking lot near an apartment complex on North Henry Boulevard around 11 p.m. Saturday. More than 200 teens were at the party when an argument broke out and quickly escalated, according to officers.
Surveillance cameras at a nearby parking lot show dozens of teens running from the party that night. Moments later, police can be seen rushing in. The man police are calling a person of interest was seen pointing a gun at the camera.
Officers questioned drivers and party-goers as they combed the area with flashlights. Police initially arrested three people following the shooting on unrelated charges.
Kordian Cousins, 19,was arrested for an outstanding warrant late Saturday night in Stockbridge. Investigators said the teen could be connected to the shooting as well.
