Police chase ends in Cobb County, suspect arrested
COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Police have arrested 42-year-old Aisha Abdul-Ahad in Cobb County after the end of a police chase.
SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene on Interstate 285 at Paces Ferry Road where a vehicle was surrounded by a number of officers and police cruisers.
According to Sandy Springs police, a number of 911 calls were made referencing a reckless driver on I-285 westbound. Officers located the vehicle near the Riverside Drive exit, but the driver refused to stop.
Police said the suspect continued on I-285 and exited at Paces Ferry Road. Police were able to stop the vehicle as the driver tried to get back onto the interstate.
Abdul-Ahad was transported to the hospital for minor injuries. She faces multiple charges including reckless driving and aggravate assault.
The investigation temporarily shut down three lanes of I-285, but all lanes have since reopened.
