Police: Barrow County man shot at neighbors homes

Police said a man opened fire in the middle of a Winder subdivision, spraying bullets at neighbors’ homes.

It happened Thursday afternoon, when someone called 911 from the Century Oaks Subdivision.

When officers got there, they said they found 29-year-old Stephen Fincher locked inside a house, with seven other people including children.

The Barrow County SWAT team was able to get the family out safely while police convinced Fincher to surrender.

Fincher is behind bars facing a laundry-list of felony charges including aggravated assault, cruelty to children, criminal damage to property, and terroristic threats.
