Police: Armed robbery suspect killed, possibly by alleged accomplice
COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - A suspect was shot and killed just minutes after customers and employees at a Clayton county McDonald's were robbed at gunpoint. Police are trying to determine if one of the robbers shot and killed the other.
It happened at the McDonald's located at 5174 Riverdale Road Wednesday night. Detectives said two masked males went into the restaurant just before 9:10 p.m., robbed the business, and took items belonging to both workers and customers.

Police said the pair made off with cell phones and an undisclosed amount of cash from customers and the cash registers.
Investigators said the robbers fled the restaurant and headed toward the back of the building. That's when workers and diners heard gunfire. Responding officers found one man dead near a dumpster.
Police said surveillance video helped to confirm that the dead man's body was that of one of the robber. He was also carrying stolen items from inside the restaurant. His name has not yet been released.
The other suspect got away. Investigators don't have a good description because he was wearing a mask. Detectives hope surveillance video helps them determine if the robber who escaped shot his accomplice.
Investigators said they were able to recover one of the masks, but didn’t find a weapon.
None of the McDonald's employees or diners were hurt.
Anyone with further information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
