Police: 3 masked men shoot father outside McDonough home
McDONOUGH, Ga. - A McDonough family is in fear after an attack on their father outside their home. The aggravated assault happened overnight on July 29 on Creekland Boulevard, according to police.
Christopher Huertas told FOX 5 three masked men, dressed in all black, knocked on his front door and shot him in the arm. Huertas says the group tried to invade his house before fleeing. "They tried to rush me back into my house but I started charging toward them like a raging bull to not let them get in my house," Huertas said. "I almost lost my life but now I have to start this whole process of using my arm all over again. I still feel like I can't protect my family."
Huertas' wife, Janet Torlucci, and children were at home at the time. "It's just really upsetting that this had to happen. One of the children could have walked out near the steps. I am so thankful that God made them stay still," Janet Torlucci said.
McDonough Police say officers are trying to track down the attackers.
The victim and his family says the attack has impacted them emotionally and financially.
