Police have released a picture of a person of interest in a double shooting which happened over the weekend in Atlanta.

It happened at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard around 11:35 a.m. Sunday. Atlanta Police said they arrived at the scene to find two men shot. Both were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. One man was later pronounced dead. The other was listed in critical condition as Monday afternoon.

Surveillance video shows the two men getting into an argument with a third man. Atlanta Police said they believe one of the victims pulled a gun on the person of interest. Investigators said they don’t have a narrative to explain why the argument happened in the first place.

Bystander Corely Willis said that he heard about four to five shots.

"It really don't make no sense," Willis said. "This is a busy area. You've got kids around here."

The person of interest is described as being 5’10” tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing light-colored pants and a shirt and a skull cap in the video.

The names of the two victims have not been released, but police identified them as being 20 and 21 years old. Officials said the 21-year-old man was the one who passed away.

Anyone with information is asked to call Atlanta Police Detective Hogan at 404-546-5511.
