Some precious puppies, rescued from a puppy mill in Macon, now have new homes in metro Atlanta.

Saturday, hundreds of families came to the Atlanta Humane Society's Mansell Campus, to try to make the right fit.

Between 40 and 50 dogs were put up for adoption on a first come first serve basis.

The rescued breeds include mini poodles, cockapoos, schnauzers and more.

Families said they had to take a chance, at bringing one of the puppies home.

If you missed out, there are still more of the puppies who will be put up for adoption at a later date.

The humane society said it’s overjoyed that so many people want to give the dogs new homes.
