Peachtree City Police fill trailer with Florence donations
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. - A trailer full of disaster relief supplies left Peachtree City Wednesday afternoon on its way to the Carolinas.
The Peachtree City Police Department started collecting donations before the storm made landfall.
Police officials said the trailer is filled with a variety of supplies, cases of water, diapers and baby wipes, sealed snacks, and personal hygiene items.
They said they were able to get the trailer filled so quickly thanks to the generosity of their community.
This isn't the first time the department has stepped up to help with hurricane recovery.
They also collected and sent supplies to storm victims last year after Hurricane Harvey.
