Peachtree City advances to Little League World Series regionals

For the third year in a row, Peachtree City's little league team will represent Georgia in the Little League Baseball Regionals.

The 11 and 12-year-olds played Cartersville Tuesday night to claim the state championship.

"There [were] a lot of people--probably the most I've ever played in front of," said Trey King, who plays shortstop.  "It was really exciting."

King hit three of the team's six home runs to beat Cartersville 17 to 7.

The PTC club will now travel to Warner Robins for the Southeast regionals, which run August 4-9.  If they win that tournament, the team would advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa. August 17-27.

"I want to win it," said player Bryce Alewin.
