Kennesaw residents who want to take advantage of Georgia's toll road system will now have an easier time getting their peach passes.

Friday, the state celebrated the opening of a new Peach Pass retain center at the Kennesaw Department of Driver Services on Old Highway 41.

The pass allows drivers to use any of Georgia's toll roads, including the new stretch of express lanes along Interstate 75 and Interstate 575 set to open later this summer.

State officials say the new center will make the peach pass process faster and easier for many drivers.

"People can come in, ask their questions, do their business, and, maybe if they want to add another car to their account, on the spot pick up another Peach Pass rather than waiting to receive it in the mail," State Road and Tollway Authority's Chris Tomlinson said.

In addition to Georgia's toll roads, state officials say the Peach Pass is accepted in Florida and North Carolina as well.
