One dead, one injured after apartment shooting in Austell

COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Police are investigating an apartment shooting in Cobb County that left one person dead, and another injured.

The shooting happened at the Winwood Apartments on Shenandoah Trail in Austell.

Police said both victims were transported to the hospital. The injured victim is listed in serious condition.

Officials said a person of interest is in custody.

The cause of the shooting is unknown.
