Oconee County Firefighter Celebrates 70th Birthday in a Big Way

OCONEE COUNTY, Ga. - Age is simply a number. Just ask Oconee County Fire Rescue's Bob Ward, who celebrated his 70th birthday on Monday. 

Ward had quite the birthday. He started his day off with a workout at St. Marys Wellness and then headed to a nearby Kroger to rescue an employee stuck in an elevator. Afterward, he put on his turnout gear and walked a 2.25 mile hilly course through Summit Grove.

"If you see Bob, wish him a Happy Birthday and thank him for all he does for Oconee County," Fire Rescue said on Facebook.
