A Clayton County family celebrated a rescue, while praying for a miracle, following a fire on Thursday.

A neighbor and a 13-year-old girl helped save children from a burning house on Redland Drive. But the incident left the mother and her adult daughter with serious injuries, according to relatives. They were hospitalized in critical condition.

Eugene Jordan helped save the children from the home. He told FOX 5, a teenager knocked on his door and informed him her twin brother and sister were trapped. They jumped from the second floor into Jordan's arms.

"I caught the boy first then the girl after," Jordan said. "The room lit up instantly after they jumped out."

Meanwhile, Jordan's wife called 911. They sent their well wishes to the family.

"We are praying for you. God is able. I am glad that I was in the position to do what anybody would have done," Jordan said.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
