Officials reported that two people complained of having a headache and received treatment.
What they're saying:
"We're working to ensure everyone's safety," a spokesperson for Atlanta Fire wrote on X.
At 10:30 a.m., the fire department posted on social media that air quality levels were within normal range and the fire department had left the scene. They also said they left the commercial structure in care of Atlanta Gas & Light and building maintenance.
Additionally, a spokesperson for the fire department sent an email to FOX 5 Atlanta saying that it was a carbon dioxide leak related to the refrigerator that was responsible for the call.
While carbon monoxide can be deadly at low concentrations, carbon dioxide generally poses no serious health risks, which makes it a reliable choice for various applications, including food and beverage industries.
