Missing Hall Co. girl seen in Cartersville with biological dad
HALL COUNTY, Ga. - Authorities are still searching for a missing 12-year-old Hall County girl and have released new information in connection with the case.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office said Brooklyn Smith was reportedly seen on Monday in Cartersville. She's believed to be traveling with her father, Steven Keith Spires, 31, and his 19-year-old girlfriend, Carmen Clay.
Spires is wanted for interference with custody. Investigators think he's driving in a vehicle towing a large camper.
Last Friday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued a Levi's Call after Brooklyn was reported missing by her mother. The GBI said she was possibly in extreme danger.
Mrs. Smith said her daughter left their Lullwater Trail home around 2:30 a.m. Friday and got into a dark colored passenger car, possibly an early model Ford Taurus.
Deputies said the girl called her mom over the weekend and said she was safe with friends. However, investigators think she's with her biological dad.
Brooklyn is described as being 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing about 100 pounds with long brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone who sees her is asked to call 911.
