Minnesota neighborhood re-creates Halloween for boy who had seizure

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - A St. Paul neighborhood is re-doing Halloween on Friday for a 13-year-old boy who suffered a seizure that morning and was diagnosed with epilepsy. The family will also have a donation box for the Minnesota Epilepsy Foundation.

Eli Pearson was released from the hospital on Monday after the diagnosis. He suggested the neighborhood have a Halloween “do-over” to make up for the missed holiday, since he said celebrating it to the extreme has always been a family tradition.

So, the decorations are back out on the lawn at 605 Ohio Street. The family has invited neighbors to trick-or-treat in costume at their house where they'll have tons of candy and activities. They've asked the other homes to open their doors for trick-or-treaters as well.
