Men dead after gunfight inside Union City motel room

UNION CITY, Ga. - Two men are dead after a gun fight inside a Union motel room, according to police.

Officers responded to the Country Hearth Inn on Shannon Parkway on Monday afternoon for report of persons shot. Upon arrival, they discovered Jonathan Young, 23, dead from multiple gunshot wounds. A second black male, identified as Jesus Monroe, 29, was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

An investigation revealed that the two males confronted each other inside the room and exchanged gunfire stemming from a domestic situation, according to police.
