Fireworks have only been legal to buy and sell in Georgia for a little over a year, but they have paid off in a big way for a Henry County non-profit.

Nacoe Scott is the founder of Youth 4 Change, Inc. The organization offers mentoring and pre-trial intervention for at-risk youth in Henry, Clayton, Spaulding and Fayette Counties. To raise money for the project, Scott partnered with TNT Fireworks to open a location on Highway 81.

For each item sold, 20 percent of the proceeds go to Youth 4 Change.

"I'm passionate about our youth," explained Scott.  "I mean, I love our youth because somebody gave me a chance and so I'm just paying it forward."

Scott plans to reopen in late December for New Year's Eve customers.
