McDonough man convicted of murder, dumping body

A McDonough man was sentenced to life in prison for murdering another man and dumping his body.

A Henry County jury found 24-year-old Davious Hammond guilty on all charges.

Police said Hammond met Christopher Bell outside an auto repair business back in 2014 to sell him marijuana.

He shot Bell twice while he was still in his car.

Hammond then drove his body to an undeveloped subdivision wiped down the car and left.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested him later that year in Texas.
